- I have never participated in the events in the picture, but I have watched them on TV. (Aku tidak pernah mengikuti acara seperti gambar, tetapi aku pernah melihatnya di TV).
- I once attended an Independence Day festival and wore a red and white costume(aku pernah mengikuti festival hari kemerdekaan dan memakai kostum merah putih).
- I once took part in a competition on Independence Day, and won first place in the sack race. (aku pernah mengikuti lomba saat hari kemerdekaan, dan memenangkan juara satu dalam lomba balap karung).

Alternatif cerita:
On Independence Day last year, I participated in the cultural parade held by my school. I am very happy to be able to participate in celebrating Independence Day. In this event, each class chose their own theme and wore costumes that were identical to Independence Day.
Some wear hero costumes, others wear traditional costumes. Meanwhile in class we wore traditional Javanese costumes.
I wear traditional East Javanese clothes, namely kebaya. Some of my friends wear traditional West Javanese and Central Javanese clothes.
The event starts at 9 am. All students were ready by wearing various costumes and knick-knacks. Then each class lined up and we walked around the area near the school and the village next to my school. Residents were very enthusiastic about our school parade, they came out of their houses to see it. The event went very lively and busy. I am very happy.
(Pada hari kemerdekaan tahun lalu, aku berpartisipasi mengikuti parade budaya yang diadakan oleh sekolahku. Aku sangat senang dapat ikut serta memeriahkan hari kemerdekaan. Dalam acara tersebut setiap kelas memilih tema sendiri dan memakai kostum yang identik dengan hari kemerdekaan.
Ada yang memakai kostum pahlawan, ada yang memakai kostum baju adat. Sedangkan di kelas kami memakai kostum dari adat Jawa.
Aku memakai baju dari adat Jawa Timur, yaitu pakaian kebaya. Beberapa temanku ada yang menggunakan baju adat Jawa Barat, dan Jawa Tengah.
Acara dimulai pada jam 9 pagi. Semua siswa telah siap dengan memakai berbagai kostum dan pernak pernik. Kemudian setiap kelas berbaris dan kami berjalan mengelilingi area dekat sekolah dan Desa di sebelah sekolah ku. Warga sangat antusias dengan adanya parade sekolah kami, mereka keluar rumah untuk melihat. Acara berjalan dengan sangat meriah dan ramai. Aku sangat senang.)
