Orientation:

Today, my school held an Independence Day celebration event. It welcomed students from every grade to participate in many fun games, such as tug of war, krupuk race, sack race, tandem race, and the marble in spoon race. Many students participated, which made all the games so exciting.

Record of events

Event 1: In the beginning, as instructed, all participants lined up and started to march. Then, they marched along the decided route passing some villages near SMP Merdeka. The villagers were very excited to watch the parade passing their houses. Many of them stood along the street welcoming and cheering the parade.

Event 2: In the beginning, I participated in the marble-in-spoon race. It was a very tight game between me and Galang. I almost beat him at the beginning of the race, but he was so fast and steady. He could even run with it. He came first and I came second. It was hard to beat Galang in this game. But finally, he came second. It was so sad that he couldn’t finish first. Meanwhile, Pipit participated in a tandem race with our friends. Her team came third. It was not too bad.

Event 3: The last game was the krupuk race. Once again I met Galang in the final. The fun part was I finished first and he finished after me. I finished my krupuk with three or four bites.

It was a joyful day at my school. Everyone put a smile on their faces.

Orientation:

On August 17 my school held an art performance event to commemorate Independence Day. Every class must participate. My school held several competitions such as fashion show competitions, class decoration competitions, singing and dancing competitions.

event 1: First, I took part in a dancing competition with a traditional dance theme. I and my two friends chose to dance the peacock dance. When performing I feel nervous. but we can dance well.

event 2: Next, my classmates and I took part in a class decoration competition. we decorated the class with an independence theme. we made decorations using red and white ribbons. Apart from that, we also decorated the class with photos of Indonesian heroes. our classroom becomes clean and beautiful.

event 3: Then, some of my friends also took part in a traditional song singing competition. My friends and I gave encouragement.

Comment: The final event is the announcement of the winners of each competition. even though I didn’t win the dancing competition. But my class managed to get first place in the class decoration competition. my friend who sings also got second place. That day was very fun and exciting.
